HmacSha224

Struct HmacSha224

Source
pub struct HmacSha224 { /* private fields */ }
Expand description

HMAC-SHA-224.

Keys of any length are accepted. Served by the driver registered for it; see driver.

§Example

let tag = HmacSha224::mac(b"my key", b"hello world");

// Verification, in constant time:
let mut mac = HmacSha224::new(b"my key");
mac.update(b"hello world");
mac.verify(&tag).unwrap();

Implementations§

Source§

impl HmacSha224

Source

pub const OUTPUT_SIZE: usize = 28

Size of the tag, in bytes.

Source

pub fn new(key: &[u8]) -> Self

Start a new MAC computation with key.

Source

pub fn update(&mut self, data: &[u8])

Absorb data.

Source

pub fn finalize(self) -> [u8; 28]

Finish the computation and return the tag.

Source

pub fn verify(self, tag: &[u8]) -> Result<(), Error>

Finish the computation and compare the tag with tag in constant time.

A truncated tag (shorter than the full tag) is compared against the corresponding prefix; an empty one never verifies.

Source

pub fn mac(key: &[u8], data: &[u8]) -> [u8; 28]

Compute the tag of data under key in one call.
